Summary: As the Shipping Senior Manager, you will be responsible for all activities related to outbound processing and shipping in the Reno and Verdi DC’s. You will lead managers at two locations and oversee all aspects of planning, picking, packing, value added services (VAS), and shipping across four channels (direct, retail, international and wholesale). You will provide solid coordination with Dealer Services, Customer Experience, Order Management, parcel and transportation providers, and the Receiving and Inventory Control departments to ensure orders are processed on time.
Additionally, you will work to develop and support your direct reports and others on the shipping team to be high level operational and people leaders.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and coordinate processing and service levels for all shipping departments at the Reno and Verdi DC’s
- Partner with leadership peers to influence beneficial change in the warehouse through proven change management and decision-making practices.
- Create strong interdepartmental partnerships to achieve critical business objectives and ensure clear and consistent communication.
- Lead the department focus on team member professional and personal growth and development, including as a facilitator of learning programs.
- Use metrics to monitor and improve department results, forecast labor and staffing needs, and operate within assigned budget parameters.
- Handle employee relations within the department and in partnership with People & Culture.
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence, humility, cultural competence, feedback skills, and the ability to sustain trusted relationships with a wide array of people.
- Develop processes and communication with all Service Center Departments to facilitate the flow of work through related channels.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage and lead a team of shipping staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Prepare and present both weekly and quarterly business reviews.
- Encourage leader role rotation and participate as needed.

- 5+ years of experience managing operational teams in a fast-paced environment.

- Demonstrated ability to adapt leadership style to suit the situation. Well versed in transformational and servant leadership.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Experience in preparing and presenting information to the team and other business areas.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Hiring Range: $105,000 to $118,000 USD Annual
At Patagonia, pay ranges are assigned to a job based on the location specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget. Note the full pay range for this role ranges from $93,400 to $140,000 USD Annual. The Hiring Range reflects where in the range we intend to hire for this role.
